Excursion 2610 — Saturday, 5 December 2026 — “Salzburg Christmas Markets 1”
An Advent classic
Our historic special train will travel from Nördlingen via Donauwörth, Augsburg Central Station, Munich East and Rosenheim to Salzburg and its Christmas markets. Alternatively, passengers can visit the Lokwelt railway museum in Freilassing; admission is not included in the fare. For operational reasons, the steam locomotive may not join the train until Munich East.

An exclusively reserved shuttle train will operate for our passengers between Freilassing and Salzburg Mülln.

Groups of five or more receive a 10% discount. The group discount cannot be combined with family tickets or bookings of entire compartments.
We are also offering a one-time discount of 10% on all excursions booked by 15 January 2026.
When you book an entire compartment, you will have exclusive use of six seats in a separate compartment within a side-corridor coach. The compartment may be used by any number of passengers from one to six. Each compartment has two window seats. Only second-class compartments are available for booking.
As seats must be reserved, passengers cannot join these long-distance excursions without advance notice. Prior booking is therefore essential.
The stated fare covers both the outward and return journeys. Trains always depart from the station in the town or city indicated.
The historic coaches used on these excursions are not accessible, although the train crew will be happy to assist passengers when boarding and alighting. As storage space for bulky items is limited, please let us know when booking if you will be bringing a wheelchair, pushchair or similar item.
